New Gate Procedures
In last month’s article I spoke about the rise in the number of guests arriving at the gates and portraying themselves as residents by presenting the officer with the resident’s security code. As the Director of Security I presented this issue to the POA Board of Governors and the board voted unanimously to change the rules of allowing anyone uninterrupted access with a security code and the residents name.
The new rule now in effect states that regardless of whether a security code is presented, any persons attempting to gain entry into PGA National without a bar-code will be required to show photo identification. Security’s mission is – and has always been – to provide you, the residents, with the highest level of security possible. Your assistance and cooperation in this matter would best aid us in reducing any inconveniences.
As always you are encouraged to never hesitate to report all suspicious vehicles or person(s) to security at 627-1600. Any information will be helpful. Remember, the smallest piece of information may be the biggest part of the solution.
