As your security provider, it is an absolute pleasure providing security services to the community. We enjoy the interaction each encounter brings and the trusting relationships that those encounters create. However, over the past few months, security has received several service calls asking us to respond to a residence for non-security related issues. Non-security related issues such as civil matters, removal of turtles from driveways, or assistance with placing trash containers out for collection and/or removal of containers.
Yes, customer service is a significant component of our service commitment. However, responding to non-security related calls for service reduces our effectiveness to properly provide security. Each time a non-security call for service is received, a patrol officer has to suspend their patrol of your community. Being highly visible is a major deterrent in crime prevention and a key aspect of patrol duties. It has been determined that it is in the best interest of all residents and guests alike, that security refrains from responding to non-security related issues.
It is not our intent to disregard any of your service requests. However, it is not in the realm of our capabilities to effectively respond to every call for service. There are specialized professionals that can effectively assist with civil issues, removal of animals, and all other non-security related matters. Moving forward security, when contacted in matters of this nature, will gladly refer you to these professionals by providing you with the appropriate contact information.
With this being said, security is still here to best assist you with all your security concerns, especially in the upcoming hurricane season. Remember to stock up on all the essentials for this season such as batteries, bottled water and also make sure that your important documents are secure in the event of an emergency. Also, don’t forget to remove any loose items on or around your property that may become projectiles during high winds or storm conditions.
