Welcome home snowbirds!
Things happening in and around PGA National:
Construction on the Jog Road extension will begin in the next few weeks opposite the south entry to PGA National. This will take the road from Bee Line Highway through to Northlake Blvd (opposite Ryder Cup Blvd). This does NOT affect the PGA National gates but may add some traffic congestion during the construction phase.
Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District will begin sidewalk repair work on Ryder Cup Blvd just north of Ave of the Masters. Drivers should use caution with more bicycles on the street and, of course, pedestrians should be careful going around closed sections of sidewalk.
The re-facing of the entry signs at each end of Ryder Cup Blvd will begin soon. When complete, they will have the same stone finish as the main entry at PGA Boulevard and Avenue of the Champions.
Construction will soon begin on the Veterans Recognition Garden in Masters Park. Paul Slepakoff and his committee have been trying to get contact information for Veterans who are PGA residents. You can contact the committee by eMail at organizer@pga-vets.org
Your Board of Governors:
The PGA POA annual meeting will be held in January. There are four board members whose terms are ending. Each elected person serves a two year term on the nine member Board. Anyone interested in serving on the POA Board should notify the POA in writing (7100 Fairway Dr. #29, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418) so the Nominating Committee can set up a meeting and interview.
The FUN stuff:
The 7th Annual Art Festival and Craft Fair will be held Saturday, December 8th in Masters Park. A live band will play while you stroll through the beautiful park and shop with almost 100 talented artists and crafters. Stop by and show support for your community (and find some great treasures too!)
A Concert in the Park is still being planned for February or March. Details are not yet available but we will let you know!
See you in December at the arts and crafts event! Make a note so you don’t forget!
