SO THAT YOU HAVE TIME TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE CANDIDATES, BELOW IS SOME INFORMATION ABOUT EACH ONE. APPLICANTS ARE LISTED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER. REMEMBER TO WATCH FOR THE OFFICIAL MEETING NOTICE IN MID-DECEMBER:
KEITH AHRONHEIM
Keith purchased a home in the Patio Homes community in 2006 and became a full time resident in 2010. He has served on the Patio Homes HOA Board for the past seven years and is currently the HOA Treasurer.
He is a graduate of the Stetson University College of Law and holds a BA Economics from Adelphi University, Garden City, NY. Keith has always been involved in community service. He is a guest lecturer for the Executive Leadership Council, Palm Beach State College; Chairman Homeless Committee for Palm Beach County affordable Housing Coalition; Executive Committee member of Palm Beach Continuum of Care (Homeless Housing Alliance of PB County) and is General Counsel for Real Estate Education and Community Housing, Inc. (R.E.A.C.H.) in Palm Beach Gardens.He is also a volunteer captain for USPGA Men’s Golf Tournament (Honda Classic) and received the Jim Patrick Award.
Keith feels he would be an asset to the PGA POA Board of Governors and would appreciate the opportunity to lend his experience and expertise to the Board and residents of PGA.
ANITA CARBONE
Anita Carbone’s parents and brother are original homeowners in the PGA National (1984). She visited frequently until she moved here sixteen years ago. She served on the Lexington Green Condominium Association BOD for nine years, eight of which she was elected President. She now lives in Thurston and serves as President of the HOA since 2016.
Anita is familiar with the community. She walks the neighborhood daily, sometimes with her Golden-Doodle, Monty. She played on the Ladies A Tennis Team and is involved with veterans’ affairs and serves on various committees, such as the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary (2010-present). Anita was very active in several Palm Beach Gardens City Council and U.S. Congress races (2006-present). She served as Field Director in the 2012 State Attorney Race. Anita volunteers at St. Patrick Church in three ministries (2003 to present).
She was Adult Sports Programmer for the City of Palm Beach Gardens (2002-2005). Currently, she works part-time as an Executive Secretary and Event Planner for the Palm Beach Republican Club (2006-present). In addition, she served as committeewoman for PGA and managed GOP Action Headquarters (2008, 2010, 2012, 2016) as well as coordinating and organizing several committees, events, fundraisers, book-signings and various meetings (2004-present).
Anita feels her previous experience working with balancing budgets, being a team player, ability to problem solve, fairness, common sense, organizational, negotiation and listening skills all contribute to her being a pro-active and positive participant for the community. Anita feels PGA is a special place to live and she would greatly appreciate and be honored to represent its respected image.
MIKE ENGELSHER
Mike and his wife Sandi have been full time residents of Eagleton Lakes since 1999. Mike is a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He studied Economics and Transportation Law at New York University and he was admitted to practice before several Federal Transportation Regulatory Agencies. Prior to retiring from American Express as Corporate Director of Worldwide Logistics, his business career included holding senior executive Distribution, Logistics and Transportation Management positions with Fortune 100 companies. He served on the Board of Directors of a number of business trade associations.
Mike was elected to the PGA POA Board of Governors in 2006 where he served as Vice President until 2017 when he was elected as President. Mike also chaired the Architectural Review Committee through 2017 and continues to Chair the POA Security Committee. Mike also served on the Veterans Garden dedication committee. He represents PGA POA as a Director of the North County Neighborhood Coalition and is a member of the Eagleton Lakes HOA Board of Directors.
Mike would appreciate the opportunity to continue serving on the PGA Board of Governors. As a full time resident he is very aware of the need for PGA to remain competitive with newer communities. It is important to him that the POA Board remains committed to improving and maintaining the quality of life in PGA National.
NANCY HEBEL
Nancy has been a resident of PGA National for 23 years. She was originally a seasonal resident then became a full-time resident in 2003. She has lived in Pinehurst as well as Preston where she served on the Preston HOA Board for six years. In 2011 Nancy purchased a home in Coventry and has served on the Coventry HOA Board of Directors for the past three years.
Nancy enjoys working with HOA Boards and helping to manage and maintain each of the communities. Her business career spans twenty-eight years in Human Resource Management in Cleveland, Ohio. She feels her degree in Business Management and her years of management experience helps her make a contribution to the community and allows her to do her part in maintaining PGA National as a first class gated golf community.
Nancy is dependable and organized. She hopes you will elect her so that she can continue the current and past boards’ objectives of updating the common areas to reflect a fresh and inviting community.
RALPH INFANTI
Ralph and his wife, Claire, have lived in Marlwood Estates for over thirty-five years. Prior to retirement, Ralph was a Land Developer, Contractor and Civil Engineer in Greenwich, CT. His work experience and professional expertise has allowed him to assist the Board and Committees of PGA POA.
His involvement with PGA includes: Serving on the Transition Committee for two years where he served on the Water Management, Maintenance, and Management Company Selection Committees. He has served on the POA Board of Governors and POA Committees since transition (including one year as Vice President). Ralph currently Chairs the POA Maintenance Committee and serves on the ARC and Security Committees.
Ralph would appreciate the opportunity to serve another two years. He enjoys helping to improve and update the community without substantially impacting the budget and now that the guardhouses and entry monuments have been renovated, he would like to ensure that other projects the current Maintenance Committee and Long Range Planning Committee have planned may be carried through to completion for the benefit of the community.
ROBERT KRAMER
Bob Kramer and his wife, Marilyn purchased their home in Fairway Villas in 2010. Bob has served on the Fairway Villas Board since 2012 and is currently their Treasurer. Since joining the PGA POA Board of Governors in 2015, he has assisted with the Finance Committee and Chairs the Rules Committee where he was instrumental in finalizing needed updates to the POA Rules and Regulations. Bob is currently the Vice President of the PGA POA Board of Governors.
Bob holds an MBA in Accounting from St. John’s University. Before moving to Florida, he was the Manager of Taxation, Finance and Employee Benefits for Swiss Air. After leaving Swiss Air he served on a number of philanthropic organizations and was on the Board of the International Airline Federal Credit Union for over ten years, including eight years as Treasurer. This background has given Bob a unique ability to calmly work with residents and other board members to find amicable solutions to many issues.
Bob would appreciate the opportunity to serve another term on the Board of Governors and to ensure that improvements continue to be made to the POA common areas in order for property values to continue to increase.
PATTY POND
Patty Pond is a native New Englander. She has, for the past 20 years, been living in Palm Beach County; first as a seasonal resident and then she moved permanently to Florida in 2010. She purchased her home in the Villa D’Este community of PGA National and currently lives there year round.
For over the past 35 years, Patty has been a successful entrepreneur who has owned and operated businesses in the construction arena. Her experience comes mainly from being the owner and operator of a commercial and residential electrical construction company that was located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Her company completed multimillion dollar projects such as a Cancer Center for a local hospital, office buildings, retail space, hotels and high-end residential homes. She has considerable knowledge in construction projects and, of course, business management having at times over 40 employees. Some notable clients were the Marriott and Hilton Hotels, Ralph Lauren Flagship stores, Tiffany’s, BJ’s Wholesale Clubs, and a 250 unit assisted living facility.
While she lived in Connecticut, she served on her Condo Board for ten years, with the last five as President. During her time as President, she oversaw major renovations, pool installations and structural repairs to her condo complex. Patty is currently working as a Commercial Realtor in Palm Beach County. Patty’s past and present affiliates include: The Palm Beach Board of Realtors; Realtors Commercial Alliance; The Forum Club; PGA National Members Club; Business Brokers of Florida; The Palm Beach Yacht Club; The New York Yacht Club; The Stamford Yacht Clubs.
Patty would like the opportunity to utilize her knowledge to serve the residents of PGA National and protect the values of our communities through the quality of service, maintenance and cost effective upgrades needed to keep our PGA National communities competitive with the other developments in Palm Beach Gardens.
